Kevin Hanna built our house on Kauai. He did a wonderful job and I am delighted to serve as a reference for him.

Some builders are good at building fine, custom homes. Some are good at dealing with clients. Some have a special touch for coordinating among architects, subcontractors and all of the other people involved in building custom homes. And some builders are good at building in difficult markets and environments. But very few builders are good at all of these things. Kevin is one of those few.

The quality of our home on Kauai is extraordinary. Other contractors on Kauai who have seen it have commented to us on the exceptional execution and precise attention to detail expressed by Greenwood Home’s craftsmanship.

For the last several years Kauai has been both a sellers’ real estate market as well as a contractors’ delight, with all of the local high-end builders booked a year or more in advance. Having built on Kauai before undertaking our project, Kevin knew exactly how to manage in this difficult environment, even flying in certain crews from the mainland in order to save within budget. His commitment to do that together with his extraordinary quality standards produced a home which has met all of our expectations in every regard.

Kevin is also a client’s builder. By that I mean that his singular goal has been to produce the house we wanted. He never argues. He never says he can’t, and he managed both us and our very precise and demanding architect in a sprit of cooperation to which I give most of the credit not just for a great house but for a very satisfied client as well.

We are now at the tail end of the punch list work and Kevin assigned three Greenwood Homes craftsman full-time to complete all of these final details to our and our architect’s satisfaction. They have been at the house every day and have applied to all of the punch list items the same diligence and care which so obviously went into the overall construction. I cannot say enough about the quality of the people employed at Greenwood Homes. Their attitudes and their work standards are of the highest caliber.
